On June 6, 2021, after a very successful Region 9 Arabian Horse Show, a tragic and horrific traffic accident occurred on the way home to Baton Rouge. Four of the five horses on the trailer lost their lives. These four beautiful horses were incredible athletes, that were admired and cherished by many in our Arabian horse community.
Megatropolis BF lost his life that tragic day as an overall 16-time national Champion, with 10 of his titles in English Showhack. He was the epitome of an English Showhack horse, an athlete with exceptional beauty and strength.
To honor his legacy, Ellis Arabians LLC presents the Megatropolis BF Memorial Perpetual Trophy each year at US Nationals to the champion of
the Half Arabian English Showhack AAOTR class.
