Horses have always been a part of our family’s heart and soul. With six children, we had many days of riding for fun on our ranch in Beaumont, Texas. Throughout the early years, we owned Quarter Horses and Paints, but when a friend gifted us two purebred Arabians, we immediately fell in love with the breed. Arabian horses, renowned for their grace, intelligence, and distinct personalities, cast their enchantment upon us. These magnificent creatures quickly nestled their way into our hearts, becoming not just horses, but beloved family members.
Our journey into the Arabian horse world grew even further when our two youngest daughters, Sarah and Mary Catherine, decided to start riding formally at age six and seven. It wasn’t long after, we decided to start showing Arabian and Half Arabians. After riding and showing for a few years, in 2012, we had the privilege to join Gangi, Inc. Under the guidance and expertise of Joel Gangi and Diane Louw, both Sarah and Mary Catherine flourished in the Arabian horse world, reaching new heights and achieving remarkable success!
In 2013, Joel Gangi encouraged us to breed our own Arabian and Half Arabian horses, thus Ellis Arabians LLC was created by Cathie Ellis and Sarah Ellis Noonan. Over the years, this endeavor has been full of learning and growth for us. We have had the opportunity to acquire many mares and breed them to a variety of studs such as Afires Heir, Mamage, GSF Rizing Son, and Barcelona BF. We hope Sarah will continue to showcase their beauty and grace in the show ring, carrying forward our legacy.
Ellis Arabians LLC has recently found its new home in Fort Worth, Texas. Here, our sprawling acreage plays host to a blend of Arabian horses, chickens, and dogs. Amidst this vibrant environment, we are blessed to share our love for these magnificent creatures with our ten grandchildren! Because of our children and grandchildren, our love for the Arabian horse is poised to span generations.
We are also proud to announce that we’ve been recognized as an Arabian Horse Association Discovery Farm, a testament to our dedication to these remarkable animals. Our dream is to kindle a similar love for Arabian horses in others, both young and old. We warmly invite everyone to take a tour of our farm, where the majesty of the Arabian horse can be experienced firsthand. It is our aspiration, through these encounters, others will also fall under the enchanting spell of these extraordinary creatures, thus ensuring the legacy of our passion for Arabian horses.
